During the first two games of the series, it appeared to be all Vegas. But with the series shifting back to ‘Sin City’ the Dallas Stars have now stolen the momentum away from the Golden Knights.

Today on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discuss the momentum shift and how Dallas can play off of that with the series headed back to Texas.

Tyler Yaremchuk: In the playoffs, there are always little moments we go back on and go “Wow that was the turning point” and we saw that last year with the Florida Panthers defeating the Boston Bruins. It seems we are again seeing that with Wyatt Johnston’s game 3 winner and if he hadn’t of scored that we probably wouldn’t be talking about this series headed back to Dallas and we could have been talking elimination. It feels like the Stars have grabbed a hold of a whole lot of momentum.

Frank Seravalli: They have and the series is tied up at 2-2 and with the way these games have played out the Stars seem to be in control. In my estimation, they have controlled about 65% of the play, through four games they didn’t have anything to show in the first two games. But when you look at this team now and the confidence they have as a road team after going and taking two from the cauldron in Vegas.

Frank Seravalli: Dallas is back to being the team we thought they would be in the playoffs, an incredibly difficult and physical team to play against, they can play with pace and have high-end skill and depth. When you take all those things and smash them together, they are an authentic Stanley Cup contending team. Does that mean they will win the series? No. Vegas is also very good and this was last year’s Western Conference Finals matchup for a reason. For me, the Stars have taken hold of the series and game 5 will be crucial.
