With the Nashville Predators getting the win last night against the Vancouver Canucks, the Preds have now brought the series within one.

Today on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk talked about how the Canucks need their big guns and depth to step up to the plate if they want to advance to the second round on Friday.

Frank Seravalli: There is no such thing as a moral victory in the playoffs and we have learned that in this series so far and the series should probably be flipped. When you think about that now and this battle of wills in terms of process and I think the Canucks have more upper-echelon talent and we haven’t seen it yet. We’re still waiting for the Elias Pettersson game, will he get one, Quinn Hughes had a strong game 5, will he have another? There are a lot of questions around this Vancouver team that really haven’t shown up. You can’t win with one-and-a-half lines in the playoffs.

Tyler Yaremchuk: That’s fair and we have talked about the injuries to Vancouver, we’re not going to get the next game until Friday is this maybe a chance for the Canucks to get some rest and reset?

Frank Seravalli: Yeah, I think it’s going to be fascinating to see the psyche of this team. J.T. Miller talked about how he didn’t want to fly eight hours round trip and Ian Cole basically came out and sort of, in a nice way, slapped that comment. He talked about how they need to grow up and can’t worry about an extra flight and do everything they can to win the series. Cole has been through it, he’s won two Stanley Cups and has been to the playoffs 10 straight years. There is a learning process to winning in the playoffs, a maturation factor and this Canucks team doesn’t;t really have it and is learning on the fly, the only good thing is they are doing it against a Preds team who is also doing it.
