Rinne allowed one goal on 19 shots in the Predators’ 1-0 loss to the Red Wings on Saturday. Rinne has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.00 GAA, .932 SV% and one shutout. In two starts against the Canucks this season, Rinne is 1-1-0 with a 0.97 GAA and .964 SV%.
Allen allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Blues’ loss to the Penguins on Saturday. Carter Hutton posted a shutout last night, but Allen will be in goal tonight in Ottawa. Allen has had a tough time this season and has been especially bad on the road, going 5-8-1 with a 3.34 GAA and .883 SV% in 15 starts outside of St. Louis.
Price allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Canadiens loss to Washington on Saturday. Al Montoya started on Sunday, so obviously Price will go tonight in Colorado. Price has had his struggles recently, but tonight’s matchup might be just what the doctor ordered. He is a must-start against a really bad Avalanche.
Crawford allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Blackhawks’ win in Dallas on Saturday. Crawford has won his last two games while turning aside 55 of 61 shots (.902 SV%). Tonight he will take on the Wild for the second time this season—he stopped 29 of 32 shots in a 3-2 loss in the first meeting back in mid-January.
Konecny sat out as a healthy scratch for two games and then got hurt after playing just 8:13 TOI in his return to the lineup last night. Konecny will miss at least one month and will be replaced by Matt Read on Thursday.
Sorensen was a fourth round pick of the Ottawa Senators, but now a member of the Sharks, will make his NHL debut tonight in Buffalo. He will skate on the fourth line and comes to the Sharks after scoring 13 goals with 14 assists (27 points) in 39 games with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) this season.
Jones allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Sharks’ shootout loss to the Coyotes on Saturday. For some reason Jones and the Sharks have had a tough time with Arizona this season, but they’ll look to get back to winning ways tonight in Buffalo. Jones is 13-8-1 with a 2.37 GAA and .916 SV% on the road this season.
Hudler has been a healthy scratch for six straight games, but is expected to draw back into the lineup tonight in Toronto. He has just seven points (2G / 5A) in 22 games with the Stars this season.
Hutton has been sidelined by a fracture in his hand since January 6th, but will be back in tonight in Nashville. Hutton has collected 11 points (4G / 7A) in 41 games so far this season. Philip Larsen will be the healthy scratch with Hutton returning.
Pavelec surrendered four goals on 27 shots in the Jets’ loss in Colorado on Saturday. Despite allowing three-plus goals in all seven of his starts since being called-up, Pavelec will start for the eighth time in nine games. He has a 3.34 GAA and .895 SV% so far and will be in tough tonight vs. Minnesota.
Markstrom gave up two goals on 32 shots in the Canucks’ win in Colorado on January 25th. Ryan Miller has started six of the last seven games, but Markstrom will go tonight in Nashville. The 27-year-old has gone 4-7-1 with a 2.43 GAA and .922 SV% in 11 starts and three relief appearances on the road this season.
Dubnyk allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Wild’s win in Vancouver on Saturday. Dubnyk has been victorious in five of his last six starts while posting a 2.84 GAA and .904 SV%. He is 13-4-3 on the road and is a must-start in Winnipeg as he goes head-to-head with Ondrej Pavelec.
Jokipakka played in the last three games, but with Brett Kulak set to return to the lineup tonight in Pittsburgh, Jokipakka will sit. He has just six points (1G / 5A) in 38 games this season.
Kulak has been battling an illness and has sat out for the last three games, but he will replace Jyrki Jokipakka in the lineup tonight in Pittsburgh. Kulak has just three assists in 18 games with the Flames this season.
Tanev has been a healthy scratch for the last two games and with Drew Stafford set to return to the lineup on Tuesday, Taven has been sent to Manitoba, where he has three points (1G / 2A) in six games this season.
Stafford has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury, but was on the ice this morning and will skate with Nic Petan and Mathieu Perreault tonight—a pretty offensive fourth line. Stafford has just 12 points (4G / 8A) in 34 games this season.
Myers has been out nearly three months and will miss at least six more weeks after he underwent surgery to repair a lower-body injury. This is a tough break for the towering defenseman, who has only played in 11 games this season.
Gravel has just three assists in 38 games this season and is expected to come out of the lineup so Paul LaDue can make his NHL debut tonight vs. the Lightning.
