Price will start Tuesday vs. the Flames.

Price allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Canadiens’ loss to the Sabres on Saturday. Price has lost three in a row and five of his last six while posting a 3.83 GAA and .872 SV%. Carey Price
Martin will start Monday vs. the Sharks.

Martin gave up three goals on 30 shots in an overtime loss in his NHL debut in San Jose on Saturday. It was a pretty good debut for the 21-year-old, who will get another crack at the Sharks tonight. Despite playing well on Saturday, it is difficult to trust a rookie netminder against an offence with as much firepower as San Jose possesses.

Spencer Martin
Pavelec will start Monday vs. the Ducks.

Pavelec allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Jets’ win over the Blues on Saturday. Pavelec has won each of his first two starts since being recalled from Manitoba (AHL). He has allowed a combined six goals on 70 shots (.914 SV%) and will make his third consecutive start tonight. Anaheim comes in having won five of their last seven.

Ondrej Pavelec
Ellott will start Monday in Toronto.

Elliott allowed three goals on 26 shots after replacing Chad Johnson in the Flames’ blowout loss to the Oilers on Saturday. Tonight will be Elliott’s 21st start of the season—while he’s been largely ineffective this season, he has posted a 2.19 GAA and .908 SV% in his last nine appearances, dating back to December 14th.

Brian Elliott
Puempel (concussion) is expected to return to the Rangers lineup on Monday.

Puempel has missed the last eight games with a concussion, but was cleared to play Sunday in Detroit. After serving as a healthy scratch yesterday, Puempel will replace Kevin Hayes (lower-body), who was hurt vs. the Red Wings. Puempel has scored five goals and one assist (six points) in 13 games since being claimed by the Rangers.

Matt Puempel
Drew Miller has cleared waivers and been assigned to Grand Rapids (AHL).

Miller was a healthy scratch for the last two games with Darren Helm back in the lineup. Miller has five goals and one assist in 34 games this season and could be called back up for Tuesday’s game with both Thomas Vanek (lower-body) and Dylan Larkin (upper-body) out.

Drew Miller
Kulikov (back) returned to practice on Monday.

Kulikov has been out since December 27th, but returned to practice on Monday, which suggests that he could be back by the time the Sabres’ return from the All-Star break. Expect him to miss Tuesday and Thursday’s game before the break, but monitor his status as the week progresses just to be sure.

Dmitry Kulikov
Grubauer will start Tuesday in Ottawa.

Grubauer allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Capitals’ win in Dallas on Saturday. Braden Holtby started last night, so Grubauer will go tonight in Ottawa. This will be Grubauer’s fifth appearance in January—to this point he is 3-0-1 with a 2.57 GAA and .908 SV% this month. He is also 5-1-2 with a 2.66 GAA and .907 SV% on the road.

Philipp Grubauer
The Kings will not hold a morning skate on Monday.

The Kings never confirm their goaltender until warmups anyways, but we won’t have any indication on who starts prior to warmups at 6:30 p.m. ET. Budaj has started seven in a row and has lost three in a row and because the Kings have back-to-back games tonight and tomorrow, Jeff Zatkoff will likely get one of the two games.

Peter Budaj
Carlson (lower-body) won’t play Monday vs. the Hurricanes.

Carlson was on the ice for the Capitals’ morning skate, but will miss his fourth straight game with a lower-body injury. The Capitals have a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday, so monitor his status prior to tomorrow’s game vs. the Sharks.

John Carlson
Elliott is in the starter's crease at the morning skate.

Coreau will start Tuesday in Boston.

Coreau allowed just one goal on 19 shots in the Red Wings’ 1-0 overtime loss to the Rangers on Sunday afternoon. Coreau wasn’t busy, but played well but the Red Wings couldn’t solve Henrik Lundqvist at the other end. Coreau is now 5-1-2 with a 2.79 GAA and .904 SV% in 10 games since his call-up. Coreau faced the Bruins last Wednesday and was yanked after allowed three goals on the first eight shots he faced.

Jared Coreau
Holtby starts Monday vs. the Hurricanes.

Holtby allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Capitals’ win in St. Louis on Thursday. Philipp Grubauer started on Saturday, but they’ll come back to Holtby tonight vs. the Hurricanes. despite being pulled last Monday, Holtby has not been stuck with a loss in January—he is 7-0-0 with a 1.90 GAA, .932 SV% and three shutouts in nine starts this month.

Braden Holtby
Holtby will likely start Monday vs. the Hurricanes.

Andersen will start Monday vs. the Flames.

Andersen allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Maple Leafs’ shootout loss to Ottawa on Saturday. Andersen likely won’t miss the month of January, as he’s gone 4-2-2 with a 3.46 GAA and .892 SV% in eight starts this month. Despite some struggles, he draws a nice matchup tonight as he gets set to take on a Flames team that has lost four of five.

Frederik Andersen
Larkin will miss the next two games with an upper-body injury.

The Red Wings have two huge games vs. the Bruins and the Maple Leafs prior to the All-Star break, but they’ll be without Larkin. Larkin has had a tough season, posting just 12 goals and six assists (18 points) in 47 games this season and should be replaced by either Steve Ott, who is on IR, or Drew Miller, should he clear waivers.
