Wingels will miss 3-4 weeks with a broken hand.

Wingels missed the Sharks last game before the All Star break after breaking his hand last Monday. The injury will keep him out of the lineup until late February or early March.

Tommy Wingels
Braun will miss 4-6 weeks with a broken hand.

Braun missed the Sharks last game before the All Star break after breaking his hand last Monday. The injury will keep him out of the lineup until at least late-February, likely until early-to-mid March. He had 19 points (1G / 18A) in 47 games before getting injured.

Mrazek gets the start tonight in Florida.

Mrazek allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Red Wings 5-4 shootout win over the Wild before the All Star break. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Mrazek, who was yanked in his previous outing. Since Jimmy Howard went down, Mrazek has gone 5-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .910 SV%.

Brodeur set to retire; will join the Blues front office.

The NHL’s all-time winningest goalie made the decision after taking a break from the NHL team to ponder his future. Two sources confirmed that Brodeur took the Blues up on the offer of an executive role. Brodeur, 42, joined St. Louis following an injury to Brian Elliott in late November and went 3-3-0 in the only NHL games he ever played outside of the New Jersey Devils organization. He became the odd-man out when Elliott returned earlier this month to reform a tandem with Jake Allen.

Martin Brodeur
Fasth will start on Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

Fasth surrendered four goals on 24 shots in the Oilers victory over the Capitals last Tuesday. Don’t look now, but Fasth has won two in a row and will look for number-3 tonight vs. the Wild. However, he has gone 0-4-0 with a 3.74 GAA and .870 SV% at Rexall Place this season.

Viktor Fasth
Allen will start on Friday in Carolina.

Allen allowed two goals on 15 shots in the Blues win over the Oilers on January 13th. Tonight will mark only his second start of the month, but things should start to pick up for him again. He comes into tonight at 13-5-2 with a 2.65 GAA and .900 SV% on the season. The Blues are red-hot, so Allen is a great start against the NHL’s 29th ranked offence.

Jake Allen
Elliott will start on Thursday vs. Nashville.

Elliott stopped 17 of 18 shots in the Blues win over the Avalanche on January 19th. He has won each of his last two games, as well as five of seven, while posting a 1.75 GAA and .926 SV%. Tonight he takes on a Nashville team he has gone 0-2-0 with a 2.56 GAA and .939 SV% against this year.

Brian Elliott
Hutton is the Predators expected starter.

Hutton gave up two goals on 27 shots in the Predators loss to the Canadiens last Tuesday. Despite the loss, it was a nice bounce-back performance for Hutton, who will likely start tonight vs. the Avalanche. He comes in at 1-4-3 with a 2.87 GAA and .897 SV% in eight starts this season.

Carter Hutton
Lupul (upper-body) practiced on Tuesday; questionable for Wednesday.

Lupul was on the ice again on Tuesday, but only skated on the Maple Leafs fourth line, which is a sign that he will not play tomorrow vs. the Devils. Monitor his status during the Maple Leafs game day skate tomorrow morning.

Joffrey Lupul
Lundqvist will be in goal vs. the Islanders.

Lundqvist allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Rangers win over the Senators last Tuesday. He won three in a row entering the All Star break and has won six of seven with a 1.64 GAA and .950 SV% in the month of January. Tonight he will face an Islanders team he is 0-2-0 against this season, but they will be without Kyle Okposo.

Henrik Lundqvist
The Jets will activate Mathieu Perreault (arm) from IR in advance of Tuesday’s game.

Perreault missed the last two games with an arm injury he suffered on a cross-check from Daniel Carcillo on January 16th. Perreault was as hot as any player prior to getting hurt, so he will look to pick things up where he left off. He has 29 points (15G / 14A) in 45 games this season.

Mathieu Perreault
The Jets have placed Stuart (lower-body) on injured reserve.

Stuart will miss his second straight game with a lingering lower-body injury. The Jets placed him on IR in order to make room for Mathieu Perreault (arm) to be activated. Stuart is eligible to return whenever he is healthy.

Mark Stuart
Jurco (back) will not play on Tuesday; hopeful to return on Thursday.

Jurco will miss his eighth straight game with a back injury that he suffered on January 6th in Edmonton. Daniel Cleary will play tonight with Jurco still out, but he is hopeful he will be back in the lineup on Thursday vs. the Lightning.
