Braun missed the Sharks last game before the All Star break after breaking his hand last Monday. The injury will keep him out of the lineup until at least late-February, likely until early-to-mid March. He had 19 points (1G / 18A) in 47 games before getting injured.
Mrazek allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Red Wings 5-4 shootout win over the Wild before the All Star break. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Mrazek, who was yanked in his previous outing. Since Jimmy Howard went down, Mrazek has gone 5-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .910 SV%.
Mueller, 19, was sent down to play a few AHL games during the All Star break. He has one goal in three games in Worcester and three points (1G / 2A) in 24 games with San Jose.
Goodrow, 21, was sent down during the All Star break, but is back and will likely be in the lineup on Thursday vs. the Ducks. He has two goals and five assists (7 points) in 31 games with the Sharks this season.
Hertl, 21, was sent down during the All Star break to get a couple of extra games in in Worcester. He collected two assists in two games, but now comes back to the Sharks where he has 17 points (8G / 9A) in 48 games this season.
The NHL’s all-time winningest goalie made the decision after taking a break from the NHL team to ponder his future. Two sources confirmed that Brodeur took the Blues up on the offer of an executive role. Brodeur, 42, joined St. Louis following an injury to Brian Elliott in late November and went 3-3-0 in the only NHL games he ever played outside of the New Jersey Devils organization. He became the odd-man out when Elliott returned earlier this month to reform a tandem with Jake Allen.
Fasth surrendered four goals on 24 shots in the Oilers victory over the Capitals last Tuesday. Don’t look now, but Fasth has won two in a row and will look for number-3 tonight vs. the Wild. However, he has gone 0-4-0 with a 3.74 GAA and .870 SV% at Rexall Place this season.
Hall will miss tonight’s game after suffering a leg injury when he was hit by a shot in Monday’s practice. He will undergo further testing this afternoon which will help determine the severity of his injury. Benoit Pouliot will be on the top-line with Hall out.
Allen allowed two goals on 15 shots in the Blues win over the Oilers on January 13th. Tonight will mark only his second start of the month, but things should start to pick up for him again. He comes into tonight at 13-5-2 with a 2.65 GAA and .900 SV% on the season. The Blues are red-hot, so Allen is a great start against the NHL’s 29th ranked offence.
Elliott stopped 17 of 18 shots in the Blues win over the Avalanche on January 19th. He has won each of his last two games, as well as five of seven, while posting a 1.75 GAA and .926 SV%. Tonight he takes on a Nashville team he has gone 0-2-0 with a 2.56 GAA and .939 SV% against this year.
Hudler is feeling under the weather and did not participate in the Flames morning skate. With Hudler not there, Sven Baertschi replaced him on the Flames top-line. Monitor Hudler’s status during pre-game warmups.
Hutton gave up two goals on 27 shots in the Predators loss to the Canadiens last Tuesday. Despite the loss, it was a nice bounce-back performance for Hutton, who will likely start tonight vs. the Avalanche. He comes in at 1-4-3 with a 2.87 GAA and .897 SV% in eight starts this season.
Lupul was on the ice again on Tuesday, but only skated on the Maple Leafs fourth line, which is a sign that he will not play tomorrow vs. the Devils. Monitor his status during the Maple Leafs game day skate tomorrow morning.
Lundqvist allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Rangers win over the Senators last Tuesday. He won three in a row entering the All Star break and has won six of seven with a 1.64 GAA and .950 SV% in the month of January. Tonight he will face an Islanders team he is 0-2-0 against this season, but they will be without Kyle Okposo.
Hall was hit in the leg by a shot in Monday’s practice and his status for today’s game remains uncertain. Monitor his status following the morning skate.
Perreault missed the last two games with an arm injury he suffered on a cross-check from Daniel Carcillo on January 16th. Perreault was as hot as any player prior to getting hurt, so he will look to pick things up where he left off. He has 29 points (15G / 14A) in 45 games this season.
Stuart will miss his second straight game with a lingering lower-body injury. The Jets placed him on IR in order to make room for Mathieu Perreault (arm) to be activated. Stuart is eligible to return whenever he is healthy.
Jurco will miss his eighth straight game with a back injury that he suffered on January 6th in Edmonton. Daniel Cleary will play tonight with Jurco still out, but he is hopeful he will be back in the lineup on Thursday vs. the Lightning.
