Wotherspoon had dressed for Boston's previous two games for their back-to-back road trip but will head to the press box as Kevin Shattenkirk returns to the lineup on Saturday. The 26-year-old is in his second NHL season and first with Boston and has eight assists, 30 SOG, 29 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus in 36 games played this season.

Shattenkirk was a healthy scratch for the Bruins' previous three games but will return to the lineup on Saturday as he replaces Parker Wotherspoon. The 35-year-old veteran defenseman has passed the 20+ point plateau for the sixth time in the last seven years with his five goals and 22 points in 56 games this season.

Lauko was a healthy scratch for Boston's previous game but will draw back into the lineup on Saturday vs. Washington and replace James van Riemsdyk. The 24-year-old is in his second season with the Bruins and has two goals, eight points, 32 PIMs and 35 SOG in 53 games played.

van Riemsdyk will continue his latest pattern of taking a game off as he is a healthy scratch on Saturday vs. Washington for Jakob Lauko.

With Kaiden Guhle receiving a one-game suspension for a slash, Jonathan Kovacevic will take his spot and return to Montreal's lineup on Saturday vs. Carolina. The 26-year-old has impressed during his 55 game stint this season, with his six goals, nine points, 40 PIMs and +9 plus/minus.

Schmidt was the odd man out of Winnipeg's lineup for their previous game but will draw back into the lineup for Dylan Samberg on Saturday vs. the Islanders. Schmidt has endured his least productive season since 2014-15 with Winnipeg in 2023-24, with his two goals and 12 points through 60 games played.

With the return of Gabriel Vilardi (upper body), Gustafsson finds himself the odd man out of the Jets' lineup on Saturday vs. New York. The 23-year-old centre has struggled offensively in a limited role this season, with two goals, four points and 22 SOG in 36 games played while averaging only 8:56 TOI per game.

Samberg will find his way back to the press box as Nate Schmidt returns to Winnipeg's lineup on Saturday vs. New York. The 25-year-old is in his third season with the Jets' and set career highs in games played (70), points (16) and PIMs (40) already in 2023-24.

Robinson will take a seat on Friday in order to make way for the return of Tyson Jost (knee). Robinson has three goals and seven assists in 44 games this season.

Vaakanainen will draw right back into the lineup after sitting out Tuesday's game as Owen Zellweger will be the odd-man out on Thursday. Vaakanainen has one goal and twelve assists in 61 games this season.

Glass will get the chance to play in Arizona on Thursday as Anthony Beauvillier draws out of the lineup. Glass has five goals and five assists in 36 games this season.

Lucchini will get a chance to play on Thursday in place of the injured Marcus Foligno (undisclosed). Lucchini has two goals and one assist in 30 games this season.

Holl will get the chance to play on Thursday as the Red Wings are being forced into dressing seven defensemen due to Patrick Kane and Austin Czarnik missing out due to illness. Daniel Sprong will also re-enter the lineup.

Sprong will draw in for Patrick Kane, who is a late scratch due to illness. Sprong has 17 goals and 23 assists in 68 games this season.
