Blues sign Nathan Walker to two-year, $1.78 million extension

The St. Louis Blues announced Wednesday that the team signed forward Nathan Walker to a two-year, $1.775 million contract extension that will pay him $887,500 a year through the 2027-28 season.

Walker played 73 regular-season games for the Blues in 2024-25, scoring eight goals and recording eight assists for 16 points, along with a team-leading 63 penalty minutes and 281 hits.
Walker told reporters Wednesday that St. Louis was where he wanted to be.

Now entering his ninth NHL season, his seventh with the Blues, Walker, a native of Cardiff, Wales who grew up in Austria has recorded 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points in 229 career regular-season games with the Blues and Washington Capitals.
Walker has also scored three goals and two assists for five points in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games. He was part of the Capitals’ 2018 Stanley Cup championship squad.
The Blues went 44-30-8 with 96 points in 2024-25, finishing fifth in the Central Division and clinching the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. After a hard-fought series, they were eliminated in seven games by the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
