Georgiev will start against the Ducks on Wednesday.

Georgiev will start for the Avalanche on Wednesday when they welcome the Anaheim Ducks into town. Georgiev is coming off a solid 18-save effort (.947 SV%) in a 5-1 win over the Seattle Kraken on Monday, his first quality start in over three weeks. Before Monday's contest, Georgiev had an ugly .832 SV% in his previous five games (1-4-0). The Avalanche hope Georgiev's most recent effort is a sign he is getting his game back on track as they are huge -306 home favourites against a Ducks team that played in Nashville last night.

Andrew Poturalski has been recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL).

Poturalski had two goals, seven points and two PIMs in 10 games played with Coachella Valley (AHL) to start the season and has been recalled to Seattle for the first time Tuesday. The 29-year-old forward has appeared in four NHL games since he made his debut in 2016-17 with Carolina, and has no goals, two assists and a -4 plus/minus.

Danil Gushchin will make his season debut Tuesday vs. Florida.

Gushchin, the 76th overall pick of the Sharks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, will make his season debut on Tuesday. He played his first two NHL games last season, tallying two points (1G / 1A) with the Sharks. This season with the Barracuda, Gushchin has 13 points (4G / 9A) in 11 games.

Ty Dellandrea will draw back into the Stars' lineup Tuesday vs. Arizona.

Dellandrea has been a healthy scratch for the Stars' previous three games but will draw back into the lineup Tuesday vs. Arizona as he replaces Sam Steel. The 23-year-old centre has struggled out of the gate this season, with his one assist, nine SOG, two PIMs and -1 plus/minus in nine games played. He returns to his role on line four.

Georgiev will start Monday in Seattle.

Georgiev allowed six goals on 28 shots before being relieved by Ivan Prosvetov on Saturday but will likely get a chance to redeem himself as the expected starter for the Avalanche on Monday. Georgiev's play has been horrid lately, allowing four or more goals in five of his last seven contests (3-4-0) and losing four of his last five (1-4-0) while posting a .832 SV%. Working in Georgiev's favour is his strong track record against the Seattle Kraken. In his only contest against the Kraken this season, Georgiev saved 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) and posted a 1.64 GAA and .925 SV% in three games against them last season (3-0-0).

Danil Gushchin has been recalled from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

This season with the Barracuda, Gushchin has 13 points (4G / 9A) in 11 games. In a corresponding move, Oskar Lindblom was reassigned to the AHL.

Lindblom will make his season debut against the Golden Knights on Friday.

Lindblom will finally get the chance to make his season debut in place of Anthony Duclair, who will miss Friday's game with an undisclosed injury. Lindblom was limited to six goals and nine assists across 73 games with the Sharks last season. He'll begin Friday's game skating alongside Nico Sturm and Kevin Labanc on the Sharks' third line.

Oskar Lindblom
Vanecek will start Friday's game against the Capitals.

Vanecek allowed five goals on 31 shots on Tuesday in a 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche but will look to rebound on Friday. Before that most recent loss, Vanecek had won four consecutive games, saving 108 of 120 shots faced (.900 SV%). Lindy Ruff's high-tempo offensive structure isn't particularly conducive to low-scoring affairs, but Vanecek should continue to garner a healthy amount of victories throughout the season. On Friday, the Devils are -170 home favourites against a Washington Capitals team that ranks second-worst in the league offensively (2.00 GF / GP).

Vanecek will start in Colorado on Tuesday.

Vanecek has seemingly secured the Devils' starting gig as he will be the starter for the fifth time in their last six games. Vanecek has been far from perfect but has done enough to give the high-scoring Devils (3.91 GF / GP) a chance to win on most nights, posting a 3.05 GAA and .900 SV% through eight games (6-2-0). The Devils, without Jack Hughes, are +160 road underdogs against the Colorado Avalanche, who will be desperate for a victory after being shut out in three of their last four contests (1-3-0).

Georgiev will start Tuesday's game against the Devils.

Georgiev will look to rebound after allowing a season-worst seven goals on 34 shots in a 7-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday. Georgiev started the season by saving 109 of 113 shots (.965 SV%) in his first four outings (4-0-0) but has since fallen off a cliff, allowing 22 goals on 145 shots (.848 SV%) in his five games since (2-3-0). The Avalanche have been shut out in three of their last four games (1-3-0) but are still -178 home favourites against a New Jersey Devils team that is expected to be without both of their top two centermen, Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier.
