Minnesota Wild forward Jordan Greenway leaves season debut with apparent shoulder injury

A night that was to be filled with excitement turned to one of disappointment for Minnesota Wild forward Jordan Greenway.

The big-bodied left winger was making his season debut after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery but left the game after suffering an apparent shoulder injury.

For Greenway, the hope is that the injury is nothing serious. He had drawn into the Wild’s top-six Thursday playing alongside Joel Eriksson-Ek and Matthew Boldy.

Greenway, 25, was selected by the Wild in the 2nd round of the 2015 draft but didn’t join the team on a full-time basis until the 2018-19 season. After the draft, he went to Boston University where he played for three seasons scoring 15 goals and 46 points in 55 games.

He’s been an NHLer since and the 6’6″, 227-pound. winger has scored 36 goals and 112 points in 272 games over the last four seasons. A productive winger who brings a physical element, Greenway has found himself a regular in the Wild’s middle-six.
