2023 Stanley Cup playoff brackets: Daily Faceoff’s staff predictions
Bragging rights are officially on the line. Who is the prognosticator extraordinaire at Daily Faceoff?
Last season, when we all produced our brackets, only two staffers correctly picked the Colorado Avalanche to go all the way, and only one nailed the Stanley Cup Final matchup of the Avs and Tampa Bay Lightning. Some of us backed the Florida Panthers, some the Minnesota Wild, and it wasn’t a strong showing.
Time for redemption. Looking at the brackets this time around, there seems to be quite a bit more cohesion. The Edmonton Oilers, armed with Connor McDavid playing at his all-time peak level, are a popular pick to reach the final four or better. Plenty of us like the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Boston Bruins to back up their strong season as well, with none of us picking them to lose out any earlier than the third round of the playoffs, while the Dallas Stars and New York Rangers get a decent amount of love.
Here are the brackets, presented alphabetically by DFO staffer name:
