52-year-old Jaromir Jagr loses teeth, picks up assist in Czech league
The ageless wonder never ceases to amaze.
On Monday, Rytíři Kladno forward and owner Jaromier Jagr contributed to his team’s 4-2 come-from-behind win over Mountfield HK–and paid the price for it as well.
The 52-year-old veteran registered an assist, logging 15 minutes in the contest. On top of all that, the two-time Stanley Cup champion will need some dental work as he lost a few teeth in the contest.
In pictures circulating the internet, Jagr, in his usual eccentric self, seemed to have a little fun with his…adjusted look.

— Dobber (@DobberHockey) December 31, 2024Even as he continues to age, Jagr is still a key player and figure for his hometown team, despite the team struggling to stay in the top league in Czechia. Kladno is currently last in the 14-team league and is once again being threatened with relegation. Rytíři currently sits two points behind Liberec, who is 13th in the league.
The team has avoided relegation in each of the past three seasons, with Jagr being a key reason why.
In 19 games this season, Jagr has scored three goals and three assists for six points, surpassing his total from last season, which saw him leave the team for an extended period of time to return to the Pittsburgh Penguins to have his number retired.
Jagr has stated that the 2024-25 campaign will be his last in pro hockey. He says that he is having his final season documented on film while also attempting to finish a book that he began writing a decade ago.
Jagr sits second all-time in NHL scoring with 1,921 points. Throughout his career, No. 68 has made stops in Russia, Germany and Italy.
