On Monday night inside the State of Hockey, the next wave of talent took one step closer to entering the Professional Women’s Hockey League as they heard their names called in the second annual draft in St. Paul.

There were a few picks that went as expected, while a few players jumped up the board in the seven-round draft. The first couple of players taken were no surprise, but a few veterans were taken higher than originally thought.
