Goaltender Alexei Kolosov is not expected to be at Philadelphia Flyers training camp later this month, according to Daily Faceoff’s Anthony Di Marco.

Di Marco suggested that if that is the case, the contract will likely be tolled, similar to Ivan Fedotov’s two years ago when his contract with the Flyers was delayed a year.

Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli echoed Di Marco’s thoughts Monday night, saying he’s not expected to report to Flyers camp.

“The best option for (the) team may well be to toll the contract, which would allow them to retain his rights at the same pay/details as currently under contract,” Seravalli said.

The Belarusian netminder was drafted by the Flyers in the third round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Through four seasons with Minsk Dynamo of the KHL, Kolosov posted a 49-56-19 record with a .909 save percentage and 2.56 goals-against-average, including six shutouts.

He joined the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, towards the end of last season, going 1-1-0 with six goals allowed and an .885 SV% in two appearances.

The Flyers went 38-33-11 with 87 points in 2023-24, sixth in the Metropolitan Division and four points out of an Eastern Conference Wild Card playoff spot. The club held a playoff spot for most of the season, but a 2-6-2 finish in their last 10 games saw them drop out of the post-season in the final month.
