The Anaheim Ducks announced that they have signed forward Carey Terrance to a three-year, entry-level contract beginning with the 2025-26 NHL season.

Terrance was selected No. 59 overall in the 2023 NHL Draft by Anaheim.

The Akwesasne, New York native spent the 2024-25 campaign with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he served as the club’s captain. Terrance notched 20 goals and 19 assists for 39 points in 45 games. Terrance is currently recovering from an injury he sustained in February when he crashed into the boards. Despite the injury, Terrance ranked sixth among Otters’ skaters in points and goals.

During the 2023-24 season, Terrance tallied 29 goals and 23 assists for 52 points with a +5 rating in 56 games in 2023-24, putting up career-highs in points and assists. He also led the Otters in goals and shorthanded goals, and ranked fourth in points.

Throughout his OHL career with the Otters, Terrance has scored 89 goals and 73 assists, for 162 points and 81 penalty minutes (PIM) in 230 career games.

Internationally, Terrance helped Team USA win back-to-back gold medals at the 2024 and 2025 World Junior Championships, and captured a gold medal at the 2023 U-18 World Championship. During the 2025 World Juniors, he notched two goals in seven games.

Daily Faceoff prospect analyst Steven Ellis shared his thoughts on Terrance’s play following the World Juniors: “Terrance’s play was more noticeable in this tournament than I was expecting,” Ellis said. “The Erie Otters captain had goals against Germany and Finland and generally made himself difficult to play against. He’s an excellent skater who I think outworked most lines he matched up against. A solid showing for a forward who didn’t get a chance to crack the American lineup as an alternate last year.”
