A pair of 19-year-olds have inked their first National Hockey League contracts.

On Wednesday, the Anaheim Ducks announced they had signed forwards Yegor Sidorov and Coulson Pitre to three-year, entry-level contracts that will kick in next season.

Pitre’s deal has an AAV of $860,000, with an $85,000 signing bonus each season. Sidorov’s contract carries an AAV of $900,000, with an annual $90,000 signing bonus.

Both players were taken in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft. Pitre was drafted 63rd overall, while Sidorov was picked 85th.

Sidorov is coming off a three-year junior career with the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League. The Belarussian prospect continued to grow over his career, and ended up having his best season during the 2023-24 campaign. In 66 games, Sidorov was tied for fourth in the WHL in goals (50) and ended up with 88 points.

He was part of a Blades team that made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2023, ultimately getting swept by the eventual runners-up, the Winnipeg Ice.

Sidorov has also represented his country, helping Belarus win gold at the 2022 IIHF World U20 Division IA Championship.

Pitre has played the last three seasons with the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League. After having a career-best 60 points last season, the Newmarket, Ontario native finished second on the team in scoring in 2023-24, scoring 27 goals and 55 points in 55 games. Pitre was on the OHL All-Rookie Team during the 2021-22 season, the same year Flint made it to Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, falling to the Windsor Spitfires.

As a result, the Ducks have 31 standard player contracts signed for next season, with a projected cap space of over $34.6 million, according to CapFriendly.

The Ducks are on pace to add more quality talent in this year’s draft. With a 25-47-4 record, Anaheim is seventh in the Pacific Division, and 14th in the Western Conference. They are 12 points ahead of the last-place San Jose Sharks.
