Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli has reported the Anaheim Ducks are bringing forward Boris Katchouk and defensemen Mark Pysyk and Gustav Lindstrom to camp on player tryout agreements (PTO).

Pysyk spent the 2023-24 season split between the Pittsburgh Penguins American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Calgary Flames AHL affiliate, the Calgary Wranglers. He tallied four assists in 37 AHL games and appeared in six Calder Cup playoff contests with the Wranglers.

Pysyk last played in the NHL during the 2021-22 season with the Buffalo Sabres where he tallied three goals and 12 points in 68 games. He missed the 2022-23 season with an Achilles injury. Pysyk has amassed 104 points in 521 games with the Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers, and Dallas Stars since making his NHL debut back in 2013. The Sabres originally selected Pysyk with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft.

Katchouk spent the 2023-24 season with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Ottawa Senators after being picked up off waivers by Ottawa. The 26-year-old tallied seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 59 games. Katchouk was part of the package that was sent from Tampa Bay to Chicago for Brandon Hagel at the 2022 NHL trade deadline.

The Vancouver, British Columbia native was originally selected in the second round, No. 44 overall of the 2016 NHL Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning and has amassed 36 points in 176 NHL games with Tampa Bay, Chicago and Ottawa.

Lindstrom spent the 2023-24 season with the Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim, where he tallied 10 points in 46 games. Lindstrom was claimed off waivers from Montreal back in January. Lindstrom was a second-round pick by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, playing junior hockey for Almtuna IS in Sweden’s HockeyEttan Div-1.

Lindstrom made his NHL debut during the 2019-20 season, playing 45 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins and recording five assists. He added one assist in 16 games with Detroit. Lindstrom found a full-time role in 2021-22, appearing in 63 games and registering 13 points.
