The PWHL announced Thursday that Ann-Renee Desbiens of the Montreal Victoire, Aerin Frankel of the Boston Fleet and Gwyneth Philips of the Ottawa Charge have been voted as the three finalists of the 2025 PWHL Goaltender of the Year.

While both Desbiens and Philips are first-time nominees, this is the second consecutive year Frankel has been nominated.

As for Philips, a third-round pick for the Charge in the 2024 PWHL Draft, she was thrown into action after Emerence Maschmeyer went down with an injury. She won five of her eight straight starts to end the season, including six games allowing two or fewer goals. She finished the season with an 8-5-1-0 record, .919 SV% and 2.11 GAA.
