Betano Daily Bets: Florida Panthers to miss playoffs & Edmonton Oilers to win Pacific Division
The NHL season is just around the corner and Tyler Yaremchuk joined Daily Faceoff Live for another Betano Daily Bets segment.
Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s check out our daily bets with Betano. 19+, please play responsibly. The game starts now with Betano.ca, and let’s jump into it.
Tyler Yaremchuk: we talked about the Florida Panthers in our fourth topic, and Betano has odds for the Panthers to make or miss the playoffs. Yes is the runaway favourite at -222. Frank, I think you’re going to agree with me that there’s a ton of value with the Panthers at +165 here. I think this is a smart bet, considering what the conference looks like.
Frank Seravalli: I’m going to pass on this bet; I don’t feel good about one way or another. I could make the case that they’re going to get in; I just made the case earlier they could be on the outside looking in. I just don’t feel good about it either way, so I’d pass.
Tyler Yaremchuk: We also talked about the Vegas Golden Knights, and they have the best odds, along with the Edmonton Oilers, to win their division at +200. You and Jason Gregor previewed the entire Pacific Division all the way from the Oilers to the San Jose Sharks at 250:1 to win their division over on the DFO Rundown. Frank, I’m throwing a unit on the Oilers to finish at the top; they finished just two points back of Vegas for that top spot with a goalie in Jack Campbell, who had like a .890 save percentage. I don’t think he will be that and again this year, but I really do think they have a good shot.
Frank Seravalli: Color me shocked that Tyler is picking the Oilers to win the division. I also am picking Edmonton, but I would not place a bet on it because as much as I think they’re in a position to win, +200 doesn’t get me excited, considering what could go wrong. I don’t think Vegas will be highly motivated for the regular season; not saying there’s a hangover, but it’s all about getting in and getting hot.
