Welcome to the Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL Odds site Betway!

Phillip Danault (LAK) ov1.5 SOG (-150)

Even after the Kings added Pierre-Luc Dubois in the offseason, Danaut continues to play big minutes (17:53 ATOI). The 30-year-old centre comes into Tuesday’s game with 22 shots in eight games (2.8 SOG/gm) and has hit the over on 1.5 SOG in six of those eight games (75%).

Quinn Hughes (VAN) ov2.5 SOG (+110)

Entering the 2023-24 season, Hughes was averaging 1.9 SOG/gm and 4.5 shot attempts/gm in his five-year career. Something has changed this season and the betting market hasn’t seemed to notice. Hughes is averaging 3.3 SOG/gm and 7.9 shot attempts/gm through eight games and has hit the over on 2.5 SOG in seven of eight games (87.5%). At +110, this seems like the play of the day.

Ilya Mikheyev (VAN) ov2.5 SOG (+135)

Mikheyev has been skating on the Canucks’ top line since making his season debut on October 21st. Prior to Saturday, he had 14 shots on goal in three games but was held without a shot vs. the Rangers. The Rangers are giving up the second-fewest shots against this season, so it was a tough matchup. The Predators don’t represent a much easier matchup (ninth fewest SA/gm) but you don’t need much from Mikheyev and the betting line is terrific. Mikheyev comes in averaging 4.8 shots attempts per game this season.
