Josh Norris (OTT) – over 2.5 SOG (+125)

Norris has hit the over in four of seven games (57.1%) and is averaging 3.0 SOG per game. Tonight, he faces a Maple Leafs team in the middle of the pack in shots against (14th – 30.5 SA/60) and has seen his usage increase in recent games. He was moved to the top line with Brady Tkahuck and Drake Batherson and played a season-high 19:45 TOI vs. the Kings on Saturday. Norris is strong value at +125; my shot prop model has him at -137.

Matthew Tkachuk (FLA) – over 3.5 SOG (-118)

Tkachuk has hit the over in seven of 11 games (63.6%) this season and is averaging 4.9 SOG per game. The Capitals have been a tough matchup, giving up the 10th-fewest shots against (29.4), but Tkahuck’s usage (19:56 ATOI) gives him a chance to hit the over regardless of the matchup. He’s averaging 8.4 shot attempts per game and is on-pace for 686 shot attempts on the season, which would obliterate his previous career-high of 536. I have him at -192 to hit the over.

Los Angeles Kings ML (+110)

The market seems slow to react to just how good this Kings team is. I’m happy to bet them whenever they’re underdogs because they’ve played as one of the top teams in the NHL thus far. Their main question entering the season was goaltending, and Cam Talbot has answered the call, going 6-2-1 with a 2.14 GAA (8th in the NHL) and .923 SV% (t-11th). Los Angeles was 2-2-0 in four games vs. Vegas last year, including a 5-1 win in Vegas.
