Betway starting goalie bet of the day: Bet on Adin Hill to be busy as Panthers fight for their playoff lives
Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day, brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Vegas Golden Knights are one win away from their first ever Stanley Cup, after a 3-2 win in game four of the finals.
Chandler Stephenson scored twice for the Knights, and William Karlsson added another to build an early 3-0. Florida did not go down without a fight, Brandon Montour gave the Panthers hope with a late second period goal and Alex Barkov made it a one goal game early in the third.
Florida threw everything at Knights goalie Adin Hill in hopes for their second straight third period comeback, but Hill stayed calm, cool and collected and shut the door the remainder of the way. Hill made 29 saves on 31 shots and has now moved to third among Conn Smythe favorites as per Betway at +1000.
Florida played a majority of the third period without leading scorer and team MVP, Matthew Tkachuk who has been dealing with an upper body injury since a game three collision. Tkachuk is a gametime decision for game five.
For the first time this season, Lord Stanley will be in the building and the Knights are on the brink of capturing hockey’s holy grail on their home ice.
Here is a goalie prop I like for tonight’s game.
Goalie Prop
Adin Hill to make over 28.5 saves at -125.
This isn’t the first time the Panthers have been on the brink of elimination this playoffs. They were down 3-1 to the greatest regular season team of all time before Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers took a page out of LeBron James and the 2016 Cavaliers book. In those three games Florida scored 15 goals, meaning this is a team that does not go down without a fight
I expect Florida to do what they do best and play great hockey with their backs against the wall in game five they heavily test Adin Hill with plenty of rubber.
Last Game Bets
Sergei Bobrovsky to make under 27.5 saves
Yet another bad beat for us, Bobrovsky made 28 saves meaning we missed the under by just one save. Our record on the playoffs is now 13-13.
