Betway starting goalie bet of the day: Bet on an easier night for Jake Oettinger as the Dallas Stars return home for game three
Welcome back to Betway Bets of the Day brought to you by NHL betting odds site Betway!
The Florida Panthers are one win away from their second-ever appearance in the Stanley Cup Final and their first appearance in 27 years. Sam Reinhart’s second period powerplay goal was the lone goal scored in game three, as the Panthers took a commanding 3-0 lead in their series.
Sergei Bobrovsky continued to make his stake as a Conn Smythe contender, Bobrovsky made 32 saves on 32 shots to get the shutout and earned first star honors. Betway currently has Bobrovsky favored to win the award at +220.
Game four will take place in Florida on Wednesday.
In the west, the Dallas Stars return home where they haven’t lost in these playoffs to try and cut their 2-0 series deficit against the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas won both games by the slimmest margin, winning both early in overtime.
Aidin Hill has been absolutely excellent for the Golden Knights between the pipes, posting a sparkling 2.28 goals against average and a .930 save percentage. Here is a goalie prop I like for tonight’s game.
Goalie Prop
Jake Oettinger to make under 26.5 saves at -115.
Oettinger has averaged exactly 27 saves in the two games this series, so this line seems very accurate. But with the Stars returning back home I don’t expect as much of a workload for Oettinger.
In the Kraken series, Oettinger averaged 25 saves in the three home games decided in regulation and I expect the under trend to continue.
Last Game Bets
Freddie Andersen to make over 28.5 saves
Florida took the lead and did its thing. Andersen made only 16 saves and our record is now 9-9 in the playoffs.
