Bruins announce changes to jersey for 2025-26 season

In order to go forward, sometimes you have to go back.
On Wednesday, the Boston Bruins unveiled new uniforms that they will begin wearing during the 2025-26 season.
The new jerseys were revealed in a special announcement video featuring actor Michael J. Fox, Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy and former Bruins player and current team president Cam Neely.

— Boston Bruins (@NHLBruins) June 25, 2025The sweater resembles what the Bruins wore from 1974 until the closing of the Boston Garden in 1995. It also showcases the two new logos that the team will wear, marking the first time in three decades that Boston will rotate two differing crests for its home and away sweaters.
During the 21 seasons that the Bruins wore this style of uniform, the team made it to four Stanley Cup Finals, losing to the Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers two times each. Hockey Hall of Famers Ray Bourque, Bobby Orr, Brad Park and Neely donned the jerseys, a look that was considered menacing during the Big Bad Bruins’ age of the 1970s that carried into the Original Six franchise’s final days of the Boston Garden.
Along with the revamped look, the shape of a Bruin has been added to the shoulder. For when the team is on the road, the word ‘Boston’ will be portrayed across the bear, while ‘Bruins’ will be part of the team’s home outfit.
A similar jersey was worn during the team’s Centennial season in 2023-24, but unlike the traditional black and yellow outlook, those unis had a gold trim to them.
According to a post earlier in the week, the return of the old-school spoked-B logo will be used by the team for the foreseeable future. The logo itself isn’t a new concept. The traditional Boston ‘B’ in the middle of a spoked circle has been a staple of the franchise since 1949.
