The Boston Fleet announced Thursday the signing of forward Kelly Babstock to a 10-day standard player agreement (SPA).

The 32-year-old Babstock has been on the Fleet’s reserve player list since the start of the 2024-25 season. Last year, the Mississauga, Ont., native joined Boston as a reserve midway through the season, then signed a 10-day player contract on April 20 before signing a full SPA on May 4 ahead of the PWHL Playoffs.

In four regular-season games and eight playoff games, she recorded one assist.

Through six games this season, Boston is 2-4-0 with six points, last in the PWHL. The club has only scored 12 goals and have a league-worst minus-four goal differential, despite being tied for allowing the least amount of goals against.

Forward Hilary Knight and defender Megan Keller lead the team with five points each, with winger Hannah Bilka recording four points of her own.

Goaltender Aerin Frankel is 2-3-0 with a 2.23 goals against average (GAA) and .927 save percentage (SV%) in five appearances for Boston.

The Fleet’s next game is Thursday when they take on the Minnesota Frost at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. After that, the club flies back to Boston to host the Montreal Victoire on Sunday.

The last time the Fleet and Victoire faced off against one another was Dec. 30, when Montreal defeated the Fleet 3-1 in a physical affair that resulted in 31 penalty minutes.

Going into Thursday’s games, New York Sirens’ forwards Alex Carpenter and Sarah Fillier lead the league with eight points each, as does Frost defender Claire Thompson. Minnesota forward Taylor Heise has seven points.
