The Boston Fleet announced Friday they had agreed to terms with forward Laura Kluge to a one-year contract through the 2025-26 season.

The 28-year-old Kluge spent the 2024-25 season with the Toronto Sceptres, recording two assists in 13 regular-season games. She also appeared in three playoff games.

“Laura brings an impressive combination of size, speed, and toughness,” Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer said in a press release. “She has tremendous potential, and we believe she hasn’t even scratched the surface of what she can accomplish at this level. I’m really excited to see how her game evolves and what she’s capable of bringing to our team.”

Kluge joined the Sceptres after taking part in their training camp, then signing with them in February.

Before joining the Sceptres, Kluge spent parts of four seasons with ECDC Memmingen of the German league, scoring 39 goals and 50 assists for 89 points in 52 games. Her team won the league title in 2023 and 2024.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Fleet,” said Kluge. “Boston has an incredible sports community, and I’m truly grateful for the chance to be a part of it. I can’t wait to get to work and contribute in any way I can.”

Kluge spent four seasons in the NCAA with St. Cloud State, scoring 12 goals and 34 assists for 46 points in 79 career games.

Earlier in the day, the Fleet announced that the team has signed defenders Zoe Boyd and Rylind MacKinnon, as well as goaltender Abbey Levy, to one-year contracts for the 2025-26 season.

The Fleet finished the 2024-25 season with a 15-6-5-10 record and 44 points, finishing fifth in the league standings and missing the playoffs on the last day of the season.
