Bruins’ Milan Lucic to take leave from team following alleged domestic incident
The Boston Bruins have announced that forward Milan Lucic will be taking an indefinite leave of absence following an alleged domestic incident that took place on Friday night.
Lucic was reportedly arrested Saturday morning, according to Boston-based outlet WCVB.
As reported by the Boston Hearld’s Steve Conroy, the Bruins released the following statement on Saturday morning:
“The Boston Bruins are aware of an incident involving Milan Lucic Friday evening. Milan is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. The organization takes these matters very seriously, and will work with the Lucic family to provide any support and assistance they may need. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Lucic signed a one-year deal with the Bruins in the summer, eight seasons after he last wore the black and gold. He helped the Bruins win a Stanley Cup in 2010-11. He spent one season with the Los Angeles Kings, three seasons with the Edmonton Oilers and four seasons with the Calgary Flames.
In 17 NHL seasons, Lucic has scored 233 goals, 353 assists and 586 points in 1177 career games. He’s also scored 29 goals and 48 assists for 77 points in 136 career playoff games.
Lucic spent his junior career with his hometown Vancouver Giants, where he would help the team win the 2007 Memorial Cup, tied for the tournament lead in scoring and be named Memorial Cup MVP.
