Bruins sign Loke Johansson to entry-level contract

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney announced that the club has signed defenseman Loke Johansson to a three-year, entry-level contract.
According to the details of the contract, Johansson will have an average annual value (AAV) of $860,000.
The Stockholm, Sweden native was originally selected No. 186 overall in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Johansson currently plays for the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) where he has tallied one goal and four assists for five points in 15 games.
During the 2023-24 season, Johansson played for AIK in the Swedish J20 Nationell League racking up five goals and 13 points. Johansson also appeared in 19 games with AIK in the HockeyAllvsenskan where he notched one assist.
The 18-year-old defenseman joins a prospect pool that has Mason Lohrei, Fabian Lysell, Dean Letourneau, Georgii Merkulov, Oskar Jellvik, John Farinacci, Brett Harrison, Frederic Brunet and more.
Johansson was one of four draft picks selected by Boston in the 2024 NHL Draft, the others include Dean Letourneau, Elliott Groenewold and Johnathan Morello.
Fans who want to watch Johansson in action can do so when Moncton faces off against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan on Friday, and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar on Sunday.
Boston is set to play the Calgary Flames on Thursday and then will be in action on Saturday to take on the Ottawa Senators. The Bruins sit fifth in the Atlantic Division with a 6-7-1 record.
