Calgary Flames’ Andrew Mangiapane suspended one game for cross-checking Kraken’s Jared McCann
Calgary Flames’ forward Andrew Mangiapane has been given a one-game suspension after cross-checking Seattle Kraken forward Jared McCann on Saturday.
Mangiapane was given a match penalty and ejected from Saturday’s game vs. the Kraken. He will be eligible to return against Toronto on Friday, Nov. 10.
The incident occurred midway through the first period when McCann sprawled to block a shot, accidentally knocking Mangiapane slightly off balance. Mangiapane appeared to be frustrated with that, and gave McCann a cross-check to the upper back before then collecting the puck and firing a shot on net.
