It is going to be an exciting night in Boston tonight as Canada and the United States will duke it out one more time, this time with the 4 Nations Face-Off championship on the line.

It is the second time in less than a week that the border rivals will meet. The U.S. wore down the Canadians’ best stars, using big goals from Jake Guentzel and Dylan Larkin to grab a 3-1 win in one of the most entertaining games in the sport’s history.

On top of the chaotic opening nine seconds of the game, Canada had a solid start, with Connor McDavid scoring the goal’s first game. However, as the Americans started to impose their physical will on Canada, the momentum shifted in the red, white, and blue’s favor.

Even though the U.S. is going to be missing a key player in Charlie McAvoy, Canada can ill afford to take their opponents lightly. They will keep their intensity at a high for the full 60 minutes if they want to win the tournament.

On Wednesday’s Daily Faceoff LIVE, Josh Clipperton of The Canadian Press joined Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk to discuss the level of urgency Canada will need to win the 4 Nations Face-Off final.

Josh Clipperton: They need more urgency. They need to get more into the middle of the ice. It’s a cliche in today’s game of getting to the dirty areas, but they absolutely need more. I think they’re still figuring out the lines…It will be really interesting to see how they come out. They can’t grind out 2-0. You can’t trust Jordan Binnington to allow two goals.

They have to get to [Connor Hellebuyck’s] eyes. That’s what they did a lot better against Finland. We know how great of a season he’s having with Winnipeg. He’s at or near the top of a lot of Hart Trophy ballots at this point. You have to make his life difficult.
