Granato joined the Canucks after serving as the first female scout in NHL history for the Seattle Kraken. Granato is the all-time leading scorer for the U.S. women’s team with 343 points (186 goals and 157 assists). She was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010, joining Canada’s Angela James as the first two women elected into the Hall of Fame.
Castonguay joined the club in January 2022. Before being hired, she was the first female NHLPA certified agent in Canada. She played four years of NCAA hockey at Niagara University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and won a National Scholar Athlete Award. She earned a law degree at the University of Montreal in 2012.
Meanwhile, Johnson has served as general manager of the Canucks’ AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks. He played 701 career NHL games between 1997 and 2011, scoring 38 goals and 84 assists for 122 points, including 1209 games as a Canuck.
The Canucks are 42-17-7 with 91 points, first in the Pacific Division and 10 points ahead of the Edmonton Oilers. Wednesday will be the second game of a nine-game homestand for the Canucks as they host the Colorado Avalanche, then close out the week against the Washington Capitals. Vancouver has the second-best goal differential in the league at plus-56.
