Carter Bear continues to soar up 2025 NHL Draft rankings
Everett Silvertips forward and 2025 NHL Draft prospect Carter Bear has racked up 29 goals and 33 assists for 62 points in 36 games this season. Bear is on pace to tally 105 points this year, he is ranked No. 14 on Steven Elliis’ latest rankings.
The 18-year-old has rocketed up draft rankings as of late thanks to his phenomenal play with the Tips this season. In his rookie campaign, Bear tallied 25 goals and 57 points in 67 contests and is proving to be a pivotal player for the Silvertips.
Today on DAILY FACEOFF LIVE, Frank Seravalli talks with prospect analyst Steven Ellis about why Carter Bear has been the biggest riser on his latest rankings.
Frank Seravalli: Who would you say is the biggest riser from the last time you did the rankings?
Steven Ellis: Well, at least of anybody of note, it’s got to be Carter Bear of the Everett Silvertips. Just talking to some of his teammates, specifically Landon Dupont, the top prospect for 2027, they just look at how physically fit he is, and all the attention to detail that he brings to his game. And then you see those numbers there where he probably is going to get over 50 goals. He could get around 100 points this year like such a productive player on an Everett that is looking really good in the WHL. But, when he’s in the lineup, he makes them so much better.
Steven Ellis: I feel like we were robbed of getting to see him at his full health at the CHL/USA Top Prospects game because he was sick for the first game and didn’t play a lot in that second game. But, he’s so creative, so smart and he’s always working hard to get the puck. So originally I wasn’t sure if he was a first-round prospect I got him at number 14 on my latest rankings.
