The 2024-25 season has come to a close for Jason Dickinson.

On Tuesday, Chicago Blackhawks interim head coach Anders Sorensen confirmed that the veteran forward will miss the remainder of the campaign after suffering a wrist injury, per Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio.

Facing the Central Division rival St. Louis Blues on Saturday, Dickinson exited midway through the first period and did not return after suffering the injury. On the season, Dickinson has made 59 appearances with the Blackhawks in which he has tallied seven goals and nine assists for 16 points coupled with 38 penalty minutes and a minus-11 rating. Earlier this season, Dickinson missed an 11-game stretch through early March after suffering a high ankle sprain.

In all, Dickinson has totaled 502 career contests counting stops with the Dallas Stars, Vancouver Canucks, and Blackhawks in which he has collected 68 goals and 87 assists for 155 career points. With the Blackhawks last season, Dickinson reached a career-high 22 goals and 35 points coming in 82 games. Dickinson has also added five goals and four assists for nine points through 40 appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Per PuckPedia, the 29-year-old native of Georgetown, Ont., is in the first year of a two-year pact that carries a $4.25-million annual average value.

Originally chosen 29th overall by the Stars in the 2013 NHL Draft, Dickinson was an offensive force over four seasons with the OHL’s Guelph Storm from 2011-15 where through 253 career contests he posted 231 points.

For the Blackhawks, on the season the club sits second-to-last in the NHL standings with a 21-41-9 record, four points ahead of the San Jose Sharks. Following a 7-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday, the Blackhawks will shoot for their second consecutive win when the club returns to the ice Wednesday to take on the New Jersey Devils.
