Cole Eiserman passes Cole Caufield for all-time USNTDP goal-scoring record
USA Hockey forward and 2024 top prospect Cole Eiserman has set the all-time United States National Team Development Program (USNTDP) goal record with 127 goals.
The previous record was held by Cole Caufield who had 126 throughout his two-year span.
Eiserman notched the record-setting goal against Canada during Sunday’s gold medal game.

— Steven Ellis (@SEllisHockey) May 5, 2024Only three players in the program’s history – Eiserman at 127, Caufield at 126, and Phil Kessel at 104 – have surpassed the 100-goal mark. The NHL’s leading goal scorer this season, Auston Matthews, had just 79 in his career. The difference between those players and Eiserman is he has done it in essentially 10-less games.
Eiserman tallied a whopping 58 goals and 29 assists for 83 points in 52 games and an even more lopsided point threshold in the USHL, where he has scored a couple of hat tricks this year with 25 goals.
Eiserman represented the USA at the 2023 Under-18 Men’s World Championship, where he scored a tournament-leading nine goals. While at the Under-17 Men’s Championship, he tallied a leading 12 goals and 20 points in just seven games.
Daily Faceoff prospect expert Steven Ellis weighed in on Eiserman in his Top 20 prospects to watch at the Under-18 World Championship. “This time, he’s (Eiserman) riding a goal-per-game run with the USNTDP, with many expecting him to score double-digit goals at this event,” Ellis said. “There isn’t a prospect with a better shot in the draft, and he will go down as one of the best goal-scorers in USA Hockey National Team Development history – a group that has had Cole Caufield, Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, Matt Tkachuk and Patrick Kane among others.”
The 17-year-old is set to join Boston University next season to kick off his NCAA campaign. Eiserman is one of the top prospects in the draft this year, with Ellis saying that the winger has the best shot of anyone in this draft class.
