The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Parker Kelly to a two-year, $825k AAV contract.

The first to report was Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.

Kelly spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Ottawa Senators where he tallied eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points in 80 games, adding 30 penalty minutes as well. Kelly missed two games last season after being suspended for an illegal check to the head of Los Angeles Kings defenseman Andreas Englund.

The 25-year-old is in his third full season with the Senators after signing an entry-level contract right out of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2017. Following the end of the 2021-22 campaign, Kelly re-signed with the Senators for two years at $1,525,000, the contract has an average annual value (AAV) of $762,500.

Kelly has played 177 games over parts of four seasons with the Senators, collecting 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 points and adding 115 penalty minutes in that frame. He had a good run with the Senators’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Belleville Senators collecting 26 goals and 49 points in 128 career games.

The Camrose, Alberta product helped the Prince Albert Raiders hoist the WHL Championship in 2018-19 after scoring 35 goals and 67 points in 64 games. Kelly added eight goals and nine assists for 18 points in 23 WHL Playoff contests, he was held pointless during his three Memorial Cup games.
