Oilers’ Connor McDavid named top-rated center in EA Sports NHL 27

Less than a month before the release of NHL 27, EA Sports has unveiled its top-10 list of the highest-rated centers in this year’s edition of the game.
The full list includes:
- 1. Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers: 99 overall
- 2. Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado Avalanche: 97 overall
- 3. Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton Oilers: 96 overall
- 4. Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins: 95 overall
- 5. Macklin Celebrini, San Jose Sharks: 95 overall
- 6. Aleksander Barkov, Florida Panthers: 95 overall
- 7. Jack Eichel, Vegas Golden Knights: 94 overall
- 8. Jack Hughes, New Jersey Devils: 94 overall
- 9. Nick Suzuki, Montreal Canadiens: 93 overall
- 10. Mark Scheifele, Winnipeg Jets: 93 overall
Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov was also named the top-rated left winger in NHL 27 on Tuesday.
The news comes one day after McDavid became the inaugural member of EA Sports NHL’s “99 Club,” as he will carry a 99 rating in NHL 27.
Last season, McDavid had 48 goals and 90 assists for 138 points, leading the NHL in points to win the Art Ross Trophy for the sixth time in his 11-year NHL career. In 794 career regular-season games, he has 409 goals and 811 assists for 1,220 points.
McDavid, 29, has played in 102 career NHL playoff games, where he’s recorded 45 goals and 111 assists for 156 points. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2024 when he led the Oilers to the Stanley Cup Final against the Panthers.
Along with winning the Art Ross Trophy six times, the Richmond Hill, Ont., native has won the Hart Trophy three times, the Ted Lindsay Award four times and the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy once.
