This value sheet includes salaries, and projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, as well as three punt options for defensemen. These largely predicate around their ability to produce peripheral points by taking shots, and blocking them. These players are always live for the bonus’ on DraftKings.
These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.
FULL DFO Daily Projections
Andrei Svechnikov (CAR) – @ ARI – (DK-$9,200 / FD $14,000)
DFO Projection: DK-12 / FD-16.4
Andrei Svechnikov is popping as a value play on both sites, and while he may end up being the highest-owned player in tonight’s lone game, he’s well worth it.
Michael Bunting (CAR) – @ ARI – ($5,800 / $9,000)
DFO Projection: DK-6.6 / FD-8.7
On nights like this, where one goal can make or break a slate, Michael Bunting might be the player to do just that. He offers some salary relief from the upper echelon of Hurricanes players, and he also gets time with members of CAR1 and CAR3 in thanks to his power play time.
That’s where his value could pay off tonight, as the Hurricanes have the league’s best power play on the road, operating at a 30.5 percent clip. The Coyotes, meanwhile, have the league’s 19th ranked penalty kill at home, operating at a 78.5 percent clip.
Mattias Maccelli (ARI) – vs. CAR – ($6,600 / $8,000)
DFO Projection: DK-5.4 / FD-7.2
Everyone is going to be stacking up the Hurricanes like crazy tonight, but there’s some players who could offer up some “get different” on the Coyotes’ side. One name jumping out to me is Mattias Maccelli, who is on Arizona’s most offensively potent line, their second. He leads the Coyotes in home scoring with 18 points in 26 games, and his 3.11 points per hour rate at home are second on the team behind Jack McBain.
If you’re playing some Coyotes tonight, Maccelli looks like a solid option.
Logan Cooley (ARI) – vs. CAR – ($3,000 / $7,000)
DFO Projection: DK-4.8 / FD-6.2
Logan Cooley appears to be a great option tonight if you’re looking for salary relief, as he comes in $1,000 over minimum price on both sites. Still finding his way in his rookie season, he’s got seven goals and 26 points in 52 games this year, and is starting to find his way with four goals and eight points in his last 15 games.
