This value sheet includes salaries, and projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, as well as three punt options for defensemen. These largely predicate around their ability to produce peripheral points by taking shots, and blocking them. These players are always live for the bonus’ on DraftKings.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Quinton Byfield (W, LAK) – vs NSH – (DK-$4,500 / FD $5,600)
DFO Projection:
DK-10.0 / FD-13.5

Quinton Byfield is popping as one of the top value plays on both sites tonight, and despite being dropped down the lineup to the Kings’ third-line, he’s still driving play. Over his last 25 games, he’s scored 1.6 goals per hour and 3.0 points per hour, bringing with it solid shot volume. With 12 points in his last 10 games, he looks like a rock-solid mid-priced option tonight at next to no ownership.

Mathew Barzal (W, NYI) – @ STL – ($6,600 / $8,100)
DFO Projection: DK-12.9 / FD-17.5

As the primary point producer on the Islanders’ top line, Barzal has scored 3.1 points per hour over his last 25 games, one of the highest rates of any forward on this slate. He and his linemates have a great matchup against the Blues tonight, while carrying around 12percent ownership.

Miro Hesikanen (D, DAL) @ OTT ($5,000 / $6,700)
DFO Projection: DK-11.3 / FD-14.5

Heiskanen is looking like a downright excellent play tonight and has been on fire as of late. Despite missing some time due to injury, he’s scored 0.5 goals per hour, and 2.0 points per hour while taking a significant 8.3 shots on goal per hour. Fitting him in with DAL1 would be wise, but could cause you to dip down the salary ranks.

Brandt Clarke (D, LAK) vs NSH ($4,100 / $4,500)
DFO Projection: DK-9.0 / FD-11.6

If you play NHL DFS, a simple flow chart is this:

You’re welcome.

Seriously though, Clarke has 154 minutes of ice time across 10 games this year. He’s scored .4 goals per hour and 1.9 points per hour, while taking 9.3 shots per hour, and blocking an additional 6.2 points per hour. He’s worth every penny, and projects for under a percent tonight.
