We’ve got a great slate tonight, with several players at each position jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or providing great production.

This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Ivan Barbashev (W, VGK) – @ NYR – (DK-$3,400 / FD $4,600)
DFO Projection:
DK-7.7 / FD-10.4

Barbashev is popping on both sites as a great value play tonight, with him and his linemates on the Vegas Golden Knights’ second line as a strong value play. Ownership will be modest on them, and a great way to get different.

Yanni Gourde (C, SEA) – vs STL – ($3,100 / $4,800)
DFO Projection: DK-6.5 / FD-8.0

This isn’t the sexiest play on the slate, given Gourde is projecting as one of the highest-owned players on the slate, but he and his linemates on the Seattle Kraken’s third line have an excellent matchup against the Blues. It helps that Gourde has three goals and seven points in his last 10 games, and we all know that Eeli Tolvanen and Oliver Bjorkstrand can score alongside him. Gourde might be a stronger DraftKings play than FanDuel play, however.

Justin Schultz (D, SEA) vs STL ($3,100 / $4,300)
DFO Projection: DK-7.6 / FD-13

The top value play on DraftKings among defencemen and second on FanDuel, Schultz looks like a great play tonight on both sites. He gets ice time quarterbacking the power play, and hwile he averages the lowest ice time among all Kraken defencemen, he makes the most of it with strong shot volume, and some of the best production among the players playing tonight.

Colton Parayko (D, NYI) @ NYI ($4,600 / $5,500)
DFO Projection: DK-7.6 / FD-10.5

With multiple Kraken players looking like great value options, Parayko is popping as one of the best value defencemen on the slate. He projects to nearly 2.5x his salary on both sites, and is projecting for over three blocks tonight — music for any DraftKings players’ ears.

Top Punt Defencemen

  1. Nicolas Hague, VGK ($2,800/$3,900): DK-6.3 / FD-7.6
  2. Gustav Forsling, FLA ($4,200/$5,800): DK-8.8 / FD-11.3
  3. Vladislav Gavrikov, LAK ($3,000/$3,800): DK-6 / FD-7.5
