⚠️ UPDATE: MIKE SMITH WILL START FOR EDMONTON ON WEDNESDAY ⚠️
Stuart Skinner (EDM) — vs. CHI (5% Owned)
Mike Smith made his return to the crease last night and with Mikko Koskinen in COVID protocol, Skinner is expected to get the start tonight against Chicago. Edmonton will be looking to rebound after a disappointing 4-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights yesterday. Skinner has been inconsistent this year (5-6), mirroring the Oilers’ all-around inconsistent season, but is primed for a quality start tonight against a struggling Blackhawks team.
The Oilers are -186 home favourites versus a Chicago team that has lost seven of their last eight (1-5-2) and scored two goals or fewer in five of those contests, including being shut out twice. Skinner is 3-1 in his last four starts and had an impressive victory performance against the Blackhawks earlier in the season, stopping 29 of 31 shots.
