DailyFaceoff DFS Value Plays – January 16th
We’ve got a great slate tonight with several players at each position are jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or providing great production.
This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.
These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.
Jason Dickinson (C, CHI) – vs. SJS – (DK-$4,300 / FD -$4,700)
DFO Projection: DK-11.7 / FD-15.4
Someone has to win this game, right? Fresh off a contract extension, Dickinson has been productive for the Blackhawks this season with 14 goals and 21 points in 43 games.
TJ Oshie (W, WSH) – vs ANA – ($3,500 / $3,800)
DFO Projection: DK-8.9 / FD-11.1
Oshie and the Capitals are playing the Anaheim Ducks. That’s about all you need to know. His price is too low on both sites and they do have a good matchup, although, there’s little leverage to be had with their high ownership.
Marc-Edouard Vlasic (D, SJS) – @ CHI– ($3,100 / $3,700)
DFO Projection: DK-6.9 / FD-8.6
Vlasic should see a nice opportunity to put up some fantasy points tonight. He’s had strong shot and block volume in a more limited role this year, but that should elevate with him on San Jose’s top pairing.
Will Borgen (D, SEA) – @ NYR – ($2,800 / $3,800)
DFO Projection: DK-6.1 / FD-8.0
Borgen has come on as of late for the Kraken, putting together some nice fantasy performances. He shoots the puck well and has decent block volume, and with going up against a Rangers team who’s top six can fire the puck, should have an opportunity to put up some points tonight.
