We’ve got a big, 10-game slate tonight with three heavy favourites, and several players at each position are jumping out as great value options who are either in critical roles for their team or providing great production.

This value sheet includes salaries, projections for DraftKings and FanDuel, and three punt defencemen options.

These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game sample has too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Instead, the projections represent a player’s average performance on average if that matchup was played repeatedly. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent each player’s average of those possibilities.

FULL DFO Daily Projections

Zach Hyman (W, EDM) – @ CHI – (DK-$8,000 / FD -$9,900)
DFO Projection:
DK-17.1 / FD-22.3

One of the most expensive players on the slate being a value play? Call me crazy, but it’s true. Zach Hyman is on an absolute tear this season on the Oilers’ top line alongside Connor McDavid, and has an excellent matchup against Chicago this evening. He projects as the highest value forward on DraftKings and the third highest on FanDuel, according to DFO’s DFS Charts, and of all the Oilers top six forwards is projecting for the lowest ownership.

Colton Sissons (C, NSH) – vs ANA – ($3,600 / $4,900)
DFO Projection:
DK-8.1 / FD-10.7

Sissons isn’t the most attractive of plays, given that NSH2 has a very poor offensive score together, but even with that, they project to have a strong machup. Sissons generates a strong amount of scoring chances, and is on Nashville’s top power play unit, where they project for .64 power play goals tonight.

Timothy Liljegren (D, TOR) vs SJS ($3,800 / $4,500)
DFO Projection: DK-8.9 / FD-11.8

Quietly, Liljegren is putting together a solid season averaging 7.6 DKFPPG this season, second highest on the Leafs. He’s averaged 10.6 over his last 10, and the Leafs take on the lowly San Jose Sharks tonight. To top it all off, Liljegren is projecting for under four percent ownership.

Chicago Blackhawks defencemen vs EDM

If there’s one thing the Chicago Blackhawks defencemen are good at, it’s blocking shots. Any of Jarred Tinordi, Connor Murphy, Jaycob Megna, Alex Vlasic and Nikita Zaitsev are priced between $3,000 and $3,800 on DraftKings and will be live for shot block bonus’.

Top 3 Punt Defencemen

  1. Carson Soucy, VAN ($3,800/$4,200): DK-8.1 / FD-10.5
  2. William Borgen, BUF ($2,800/$3,700): DK-6.2 / FD-8.2
  3. Jake Bean, CBJ ($2,900/$3,800): DK-6.2 / FD-67.5
