Stars’ Miro Heiskanen out week-to-week, won’t play in 4 Nations Face-Off
Dallas Stars’ head coach Pete DeBoer spoke with reporters on Thursday, revealing that defenseman Miro Heiskanen has been ruled week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

He is doubtful for 4 Nations, but no official decision yet.

Later in the day, Heiskanen, who was previously named to Finland’s roster for the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off, was officially ruled out of the tournament.

Heiskanen was injured in the Stars’ Tuesday night game against the Vegas Golden Knights. During overtime, Golden Knights’ forward Mark Stone was tripped by Stars’ forward Roope Hintz, then fell with his full weight into Heiskanen’s leg. The Dallas defender stayed down on the ice and left the game.
DeBoer also told reporters that defenseman Nils Lundkvist has an injury of his own, dealing with an upper-body injury.

Heiskanen has five goals and 20 assists for 25 points in 50 games with the Stars this season, averaging 25:10 of ice time. Now in his seventh NHL season, the 25-year-old Finnish defender has 58 goals and 225 assists for 283 points, averaging 24:30 in that span.
Meanwhile, Lundkvist has five assists in 39 games with the Stars this season. In four NHL seasons, he’s scored nine goals and 35 assists for 44 points in 183 career regular-season games with the stars and New York Rangers.
The Stars are 32-17-1 with 65 points, second in the Central Division with a goal differential of plus-36. Dallas has won three straight and are now 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.
Matt Duchene leads the team in points with 48, scoring 18 goals and 30 assists, while Jason Robertson has 46 points through 17 goals and 29 assists.
