Stars sign Harrison Scott to entry-level contract

The Dallas Stars announced Monday that the club has signed forward Harrison Scott of the NCAA’s Maine Black Bears to a one-year, entry-level contract to begin in the upcoming 2025-26 season. Per the agreement, Scott will join the AHL affiliated Texas Stars for the balance of the current campaign.

Through 38 appearances with the Black Bears this season, Scott led the squad with near point-per-game production counting 18 goals and 17 assists coupled with 26 penalty minutes and a plus-13 rating. In all, through four seasons in the collegiate ranks, including his first two campaigns as part of the Bentley Falcons, Scott totaled 45 goals and 43 assists for 88 points through 140 career contests.

Prior to beginning his college career, the 24-year-old native of San Jose, Calif., spent part of two seasons with the NAHL’s Amarillo Bulls highlighted by the 2020-21 campaign that saw him put up 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points through 48 appearances. Scott then added another three points in five playoff outings.

Scott also skated a single season with the BCHL’s Wenatchee Wild in 2019-20 where through 48 appearances he registered 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points.

With the signing, Scott becomes the fourth player to sign an entry-level contract with the Stars in March following Brampton Steelheads forward Angus MacDonell plus forward Ayrton Martino and defenseman Trey Taylor of the Clarkson Golden Knights.

For the Stars, on the season the club sits 48-21-4 and six points back of the Winnipeg Jets for top spot in the Central Division. In the midst of a five-game winning streak, the Stars will shoot for their sixth consecutive victory when the club retakes the ice Monday against the Seattle Kraken. The Stars have qualified for the Stanley Cup Playoffs in each of the past three seasons.
