***
CENTRES
STEVEN STAMKOS – VS. WPG ($8,500)
Stamkos has scored seven goals with two assists (9 points) in his last 10 games. He is one of the best goal scorers in the NHL and he is closing in on 40 goals. With Dustin Byfuglien and Tyler Myers out on D and Ondrej Pavelec in goal, this is a great matchup for Stamkos and the Lightning.
SEAN MONAHAN – @ COL ($5,700)
Monahan is flat-out on fire right now. The 20-year-old has seven goals and four assists (11 points) in his last eight games, including two goals and one assist last night. Semyon Varlamov poses a tough assignment, but the way the Flames top-line is going right now, it shouldn’t matter.
DERICK BRASSARD – @ BUF ($4,600)
Brassard has one goal and four assists in his last eight games and with one of the NHL’s top scorers on his wing, he is an excellent one-day option. He has a beauty matchup with Anders Lindback in goal for the Sabres—Brassard has four points (1G / 3A) in two games against the Sabres this season.
ALEKSANDER BARKOV – @ CAR ($4,400)
Barkov has picked up two goals and two assists in his last eight games. He hasn’t been overly productive, but his line mates (Huberdeau and Jagr) have been hot, making Barkov an interesting choice at $4,400.
HENRIK SEDIN – VS. TOR ($4,000)
Sedin has cooled off a little recently and you would love to see him shoot more, but with a $4,000 salary and a gorgeous matchup vs. the Maple Leafs, he is a safe bet for some fantasy points tonight.
WINGERS
RICK NASH – @ BUF ($8,400)
Nash has two goals, two assists and 23 shots on goal in his last five games. He will be searching for goal number-40 tonight and should have a good chance in Buffalo. Nahs has two goals and two assists in two games against Buffalo.
DANIEL SEDIN – VS. TOR ($5,600)
Like Henrik, Daniel has cooled off as well. He has no goals, but four assists in his last six games, but should be able to find the back of the net against a struggling Maple Leafs team.
RYAN CALLAHAN – VS. WPG ($5,500)
Great matchup, great line mates should make Callahan a safe option tonight. Callahan has four goals, two assists and 30 shots in his last nine games.
JONATHAN HUBERDEAU – @ CAR ($5,200)
The addition of Jagr seems to be helping Huberdeau. He has two goals and six assists (8 points) in his last five games and has had some success against the Hurricanes in his young career—3G / 5A in seven games.
JAROMIR JAGR – @ CAR ($4,600)
Jagr has a .51 points per game with the Devils, but is rocking a 1.00 points per game with the Panthers. He has one goal and four assists in five games since being acquired by Florida. He has been fantastic in his career vs. the Hurricanes, registering 68 points (21G / 47A) in 52 games.
DEFENSEMEN
JUSTIN FAULK – VS. FLA ($5,600)
Faulk is one of the NHL’s hottest defensemen, posting three goals and five assists (8 points) in his last eight games. This should be a high-scoring affair, so expect Faulk’s hot-run to continue.
ANTON STRALMAN – vs. WPG ($3,400)
I love the big power-play minutes that Stralman eats ups and he has pick up two goals and two assists (2 PPP) in his last six games. He is a reasonabley cheap option and I’m pumped up about this matchup.
YANNICK WEBER – VS. TOR ($3,000)
Weber will get back not the lineup after being scratched the last two games. He comes in with fresh legs against a Maple Leafs team who played last night. He will skate on the Canucks second pair and second power-play unit.
GOALIES
ANDREI VASILEVSKIY – VS. WPG ($7,100)
Vasilevskiy has won each of his last two starts while stopping 59 of 63 shots (.937 SV%). He has never faced the Jets and has never lost at home—3-0-0 / 2.02 GAA / .934 SV%.
EDDIE LACK – VS. TOR ($6,800)
Lack has gone 3-1-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .925 SV% in five starts and one relief appearance in March. He makes for a great start against a terrible Maple Leafs team.
MACKENZIE SKAPSKI – @ BUF ($6,400)
Skapski stopped 24 of 25 shots in the Rangers 3-1 win over the Sabres back on February 20th. Tonight will be his second NHL start and he will get another go at the lowly Sabres. The 20-year-old was having a great year in the AHL before being called-up, so there is no reason to think he can’t duplicate that performance.
