It's actually much, much better than was initially feared. So good news for Zegras and the Ducks, thankfully.

Through 24 regular-season games this season, Zegras had four goals and six assists for 10 points. Now in his fifth NHL season, Zegras has 59 goals and 105 assists for 164 points in 235 career regular-season games.
Taken No. 9 overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Zegras came into the league as one of the most exciting players in the league. His first two full seasons in Anaheim saw him scored 23 goals each and at least 38 assists, resulting in back-to-back 60-point campaigns.
But injuries and inconsistent play have hampered his last two seasons. In 2023-24, Zegras only recorded six goals and nine assists for 15 points in 31 regular-season games for the Ducks.
The Ducks are 10-13-4 with 24 points, last in the Pacific Division and the third-worst record in the entire league. Forward Troy Terry leads the club in all offensive categories, scoring eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points while averaging 18:42 of ice time in 27 regular-season games.
