Egor Surin to sign with Predators following 2026-27 KHL season

A top-notch prospect is set to come to North America.
When appearing on the DFO Rundown this week, agent Dan Milstein confirmed that Nashville Predators prospect Egor Surin will be leaving the Kontinental Hockey League following the 2026-27 season and will sign with the Predators.
“They’re super excited to see him,” Milstein said on the show. “You will see him, hopefully, if everything goes well, with the club beginning of next season.”
Surin is one of the top teenagers in Russia. Taken by the Predators in the first round, 22nd overall, of the 2024 NHL Draft, the Voronezh native has been an exciting player to watch with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl over the past couple of years. After playing a few games with the KHL squad during the 2023-24 season, Surin was a noted asset for the club in 2024-25, posting seven points in 19 playoff games, helping Lokomotiv win the Gagarin Cup. He followed that up with 15 goals and 37 points during the 2025-26 regular season, adding eight points in 22 postseason contests as Yaroslavl won a second straight championship.
This season, the 20-year-old has continued his impressive rise in the league. Through 21 games, he has notched six goals and seven assists for 13 points, currently tied for third on the team in scoring. He’s on pace to score a career-high 41 points, which would be a solid way to end his tenure in the KHL.
In 122 regular-season appearances with Lokomotiv, Surin has posted 28 goals and 36 assists for 64 points, with another 15 points in 41 playoff contests.
