Trying to decide which goalies to start is a dilemma that Fantasy Hockey owners face daily. 

We here at DailyFaceoff try to make being a Fantasy Owner as easy as possible. Each day, we will rank the day’s starting goalies based on their Projected Win%, Goals Against Average, and SV%. Win percentage and expected goals against are generated from Sportsbooks Odds and Implied Totals. 

In addition to the Starting Goalies Rankings table, we will have a write-up about the best streaming options for that day (if any).

Jake Allen (MTL @ PHI) – 28% Rostered

Allen doesn’t grade out particularly well, ranking as the ninth-best goalie of the 12 tonight. However, rates as the best of the goalies below 30 percent rostered. In three starts this month, Allen has gone 2-1-0 with a .926 SV% and one shutout. He’s been inconsistent this season, which is expected while playing behind one of the league’s worst teams, but he’s also turned in some excellent showings. He has the ninth-highest implied win% (40.3%), and ninth-highest implied goals against (3.40), so he’s a risky spot-start, but the matchup could be much worse. Philadelphia has lost five of their last six games while averaging just 2.33 goals for per game.
