Finland announces roster for 2025 4 Nations Face-Off
We now know who will be representing Finland in the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off.
On Wednesday, Team Finland general manager Jere Lehtinen revealed the roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament set to take place in February in Montreal and Boston.
June saw the first six players named to the team, highlighted by the recent Stanley Cup champion Aleksander Barkov (Florida Panthers) and the 2022 Cup winner Mikko Rantanen (Colorado Avalanche). Rounding out the forward group was Sebastian Aho (Carolina Hurricanes), while two Dallas Stars in Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell were revealed as defensemen for the team, and Juuse Saros (Nashville Predators) was named among the goalies. Saros was also the only goalie prematurely named to their respective countries roster among all four teams.
The Panthers, Avalanche and Stars remained well represented among the remaining entries to Finland. The reigning Stanley Cup champions saw the most players join the team, with Anton Lundell, Eetu Luostarinen and Niko Mikkola joining Barkov. Roope Hintz joins Heiskanen and Lindell as the Stars’ three representatives, while Artturi Lehkonen joins Rantanen as the Avalanche’s other entry. The Montreal Canadiens (Joel Armia and Patrik Laine) and Utah Hockey Club (Olli Maatta and Juuso Valimaki) were the other two teams with multiple players to make Finland.
