Panthers sign Anton Lundmark to entry-level contract

The Florida Panthers announced Thursday that the club has signed forward Anton Lundmark to a one-year, entry-level contract set to begin in 2025-26.
Through 49 appearances this season with Timra IK of the first-tier Swedish league, the 23-year-old scored five times and added four assists for nine points coupled with a plus-two rating.
“Anton is a robust forward who has elevated his game rising through the professional hockey ranks in Sweden,” Panthers general manager Bill Zito said in a statement. “We look forward to his continued development in our organization.”
Prior to his single season with Timra IK, Lundmark spent two campaigns with Tingsryds AIF of the second-tier Swedish league. In his second season, Lundmark made 44 appearances in which he collected seven goals and 16 assists to finish fifth in team scoring with 23 points while posting 32 penalty minutes and a minus-four mark. In all, through two seasons with Tingsryds AIF, Lundmark totaled seven goals and 18 assists for 25 points through 54 career contests.
Lundmark is the first player to sign an entry-level contract with the Panthers in 2025. In recent weeks, rival clubs have come to terms with undrafted free agents out of Europe, Canadian junior hockey, and the American college circuit. The Panthers also have a lone prospect whose signing rights expire this August in forward Jack Devine, a seventh-round selection from the 2022 NHL Draft. Through 43 games this season with the NCAA’s Denver Pioneers, Devine has paced the squad with 57 points counting 13 goals and 44 assists.
For the Panthers, on the season the defending Stanley Cup champions sit 44-27-4 and four points back of the Toronto Maple Leafs for top spot in the Atlantic Division. Following a 3-2 regulation loss to the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, the Panthers will look to return to the win column when the club retakes the ice Saturday against the Ottawa Senators.
