Flyers place Jamie Drysdale on IR with upper-body injury
The Philadelphia Flyers announced they have placed defenseman Jamie Drysdale on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.
Drysdale has tallied one goal and three points in 15 games this season while averaging 20:35 minutes of ice time.
Drysdale will be out until at least November 16th, when the Flyers host the Buffalo Sabres.

— Jackie Spiegel (@jackiespiegel93) November 11, 2024Last season, the 22-year-old appeared in 34 games split between the Flyers and the Anaheim Ducks. Drysdale notched a combined 10 points during the 2023-24 season.
Drysdale was acquired by the Flyers from Anaheim in exchange for Cutter Gauthier. Drysdale had just signed a three-year contract with the Ducks right before the 2023-24 campaign started, with an AAV of $2.3 million through the end of the 2025-26 season. The Ducks originally selected Drysdale sixth overall in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Through 162 career games with Philadelphia and Anaheim, Drsdale has racked up 11 goals and 42 assists for 53 points.
Philadelphia currently sits eighth in the Metropolitan Division with a 5-8-2 record and 12 points, tied with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Flyers are slated to face off against the San Jose Sharks on Monday, then will be in action on Thursday against the Ottawa Senators.
Meanwhile, the Flyers announced that Matvei Michkov will return to the lineup tonight versus San Jose.
